Helping you navigate choppy waters!
Are you looking for freedom from conflict? Do you want peace in your life? Maybe you've tried everything you can think of to get along with your child's other parent, but nothing works. I can help you navigate your litigious custody battle in a way that reduces conflict and preserves your integrity.
I am a licensed masters mental health counselor in the state of Washington with a professional background in helping people heal from narcissistic/emotional abuse and codependency and managing litigious or high conflict coparenting relationships.
Whether you have no idea where to start or you just need some brief assistance I'd love to help. Meet me online to ask questions or discuss any concerns you might be having. For ongoing help, our work together begins with an initial consultation. This will help me get to know your situation better and understand it's complexities. If you'd like to partner with me, I can assist with responding to hostile or threatening emails or accusations that leave you feeling anxious, off balance, and unsure where to turn for help. I'm happy to coach you on how to compose effective responses or initiate emails regarding important matters. If you prefer, you can leave all the work to me. Attorneys are often costly and unavailable when you need them. They can help with the big stuff, but they cannot manage the day-to-day stuff that comes up. That's where I can help!
My initial exposure to difficult people was my personal experience of being in a relationship with someone with Narcississtic Personality Disorder. Shortly after the birth of my son, we separated, and despite my best efforts to be cooperative and flexible, the conflict amplified. I started to read and learn everything I could about this insidious form of abuse that is emotional and psychological in nature. A couple of years later I graduated from Northwest University in Kirkland, WA with my MA in Counseling Psychology. My internship was completed at Compass Health first in the intensive outpatient program, and then in the adult extended care program. During my internship my work included challenging populations including individuals suffering from Cluster B personality disorders. From there I moved into private practice where I was determined to help people struggling with emotional and psychological abuse. For mental health counseling please visit my page at Envision Counseling. I have read countless books, taken workshops, and counseled many individuals suffering the effects of these harmful relationships. Throughout this process, I have learned that there are ways to effectively manage these situations and that by doing so you can take your power back, regain strength and resilience, and reduce emotional distress.
